New Zealand’s famed nature paradise has been a favorite destination for nature lovers and landscape photographers for decades. We will explore the vast hidden treasures, from the stunning seascapes of the western Paparoa Coast to the snow-capped peaks of the southern Alps. Then we will head to the North Island for a week to explore its beautiful green pastures, the secluded beaches and sheltered sea coves to wrap up this photography adventure of a lifetime in the far reaches of the South Pacific.

We suggest to arrive a day early to acclimate to the new time zone and to be safe for any flight delays. This means flying out on Friday evening February 23 with an arrival on February 25. Additional cost.
February 26: If early arrival on 25th, explore the city of Christchurch and the Banks Peninsula with our camera. Getting acclimatised to New Zealand, or arrival in Christchurch. Overnight in Christchurch.
February 27: Heading south along the coast to Omaru and the Moreaki Boulders. The Moeraki Boulders are unusually large and spherical boulders lying along a stretch of Koekohe Beach. Overnight in Moreaki.
February 28: We head even further south and explore the Otago Peninsula. Overnight in Dunedin.
March 1: Today we head across the Otago plains to the Southern Alps to New Zealand’s Outdoor Mecca Queenstown. Overnight in Queenstown.
March 2: We drive to Te Anau where we stay two nights and will explore Fjordland National Park and Milford Sound. Overnight in Te Anau.
March 3: Explore Te Anau and Milford Sound. Cruise on Sound. Overnight in Te Anau.
March 4: Drive to the beautifully located town of Wanaka on the shore of Lake Wanaka. Photography on the lake shore with the backdrop of the southern Alps. Overnight in Wanaka.
March 5: After a sunrise at the lake we head to New Zealand’s highest Peak Mount Cook in the National Park with the same name. Overnight in Mount Cook.
March 6: Another Day in the National Park with photography and possible hiking. Overnight in Mount Cook.
March 7: After a hopefully stunning sunrise with Mount Cook we head out early and drive along the beautiful Lakes Pukaki and Hawea over the Alps to New Zealand’s rugged West Coast. The dry arid high plateau gives way to the lush and green of the Paparoa Coast. Overnight Fox Glacier.
March 8: Another Day spent exploring the nearby Glaciers and Landscapes. Lake Matheson, Fox Glacier. Possible kayaking at Okarito. Overnight Fox Glacier.
March 9: We follow the stunning coast north to the spectacular layered rocks at Punakaiki. The so called Pancake Rocks. Overnight in Punakaiki.
March 10: Todays drive takes us through fantastic and diverse landscape via Nelson (end of 14 day tour) to the remote and lovely town of Takaka. Overnight either in Nelson or Takaka.
March 11: Another day of coastal explorations and photography at a remote coast with sea stacks and a sea arch. Overnight Takaka.
March 12: Drive back to Nelson and afternoon ferry ride to Wellington. Overnight in Wellington.
March 13: We are heading North to the White Cliffs near Plymouth and Mount Taranaki. Photography at Lake Mangamohoe. Overnight New Plymouth.
March 14: Drive Tongariro National Park where we have the option do do a little hiking and photograph waterfalls and Volcano views. Overnight near the NP.
March 15: Leave the volcanoes and head to the town of Taupo. Visit Huka Falls and Lake Rotoaira. Overnight in Taupo
March 16: We travel to nearby Rotorua where we stay for two nights and explore the Thermal Areas, Maori Villages and scenic areas. (Waiotapu, Okere Falls ,Maori arts and Crafts Institute, Kuirai Park, Prince Gate Hotel, entry fees excluded ) Overnight in Rotorua.
March 17: Another Day exploring the area. Overnight in Rotorua.
March 18: We follow the coast north to the famous Coromandel Peninsula. We explore the coastal area with its coves and Rock Arches.
March 19: A last Day in the natural surroundings of the Peninsula. Overnight Coromandel Peninsula.
March 20: Drive to Auckland and possible evening flight back home.
March 21: Optional additional day in Auckland with evening flight back home. Additional cost.
