Jonathan Kingston Bio:
Jonathan Kingston’s father is a world-renowned chemist who helped invent paclitaxel, a drug used to treat ovarian and breast cancers. Only recently did Jonathan discover that, as a young man growing up in Great Britain, his father also harbored a passion for photography. Jonathan’s own career began with a one-year stint on the Crow Indian reservation in Montana, after which he enrolled at the Brooks Institute’s School of Photography in Santa Barbara, California, before moving to India, where he taught at the first photography school in Southeast Asia. Since then, he has been traveling the globe collecting vibrant images of the natural world. His work has appeared in print and online publications including National Geographic and The New Yorker, and he has received honors from the prestigious Communication Arts and PDN Photo Annual competitions. Jonathan is currently one of 17 photographers represented in the National Geographic Fine Art Galleries. He lives in Bend, Oregon with his wife Sarah.
