September 1 – 14, 2019
Sunday, Sept. 1: Arrival in Edinburgh. Transfer to our hotel. Afternoon meet and greet followed by city excursion and street photography, if your flight arrives in time. Overnight in Edinburgh.
Monday, Sept. 2: On our drive to Crianlarich we pass through our first highlights of beautiful Scottish landscapes. We stop in the beautiful village of Killin with the waterfalls of Dorchart. In the evening landscape photography in highland landscapes of Glen Nevis and Glen Coe. Overnight in Crianlarich
Tuesday, Sept. 3: Sunrise photography at Kilchurn castle and the lake. There are beautiful views across the water with reflections of castle and mountains. After breakfast we drive to photogenic town of Oban famous for its Whisky by the same name. Overnight in Oban.
Wednesday, Sept. 4: Todays Highlight, the spectacular Eilean Donan castle. This is Scotland’s iconic castle shot. We will spend evening and morning shooting the scenes here. Overnight in Dornie.
Thursday, Sept. 5: Today we move to the Isle of Sky a treasure trove of stunning landscapes. We will visit the famous Fairy Falls, the legendary Talisker Whisky distillery and spend time shooting the colorful sea coves on the island. Overnight near the picturesque town of Portree.
Friday, Sept. 6: Another day of photography on the Isle of Sky. Highlights are the old man of Storr, Neist Point and coastal landscapes.
Saturday, Sept. 7 Another full day on Isle of Sky.
Sunday, Sept. 8: Leave the island heading north through spectacular Scottish landscapes to Ichnadamph. Photography of the castle and its surrounding highland landscapes. Overnight in Ullapool.
Monday, Sept. 9: We are heading further north along the Scottish west coast. Many chances for great seascapes. Overnight near Cape Wrath.
Tuesday, Sept. 10: Heading to John O’Groats and the famous sea stacks and coastal cliffs with chances to see and observe puffins and other sea birds. Overnight in John O’Groats.
Wednesday, Sept. 11: After a sunrise session along the bizarre sea cliffs we are heading back south with a visit at the magic Dunrobin Castle. Overnight at the Glengarry Castle Hotel or similar.
Thursday, Sept. 12: Drive to the Glen Etive Waterfalls near Glen Coe. The area was featured in the James Bond movie Sky Fall. Overnight in Glen Coe.
Friday, Sept. 13: Drive back to Edinburgh. Last evening together. Overnight near Airport.
Saturday, Sept.14 : Individual flight back home.
